Church Color is a beta site for the expressions of art for kids who can't sit still in church.
As a kid growing up in a devout Adventist home, church was a weekly event where I'd had to sit and pay attention to sermons.. not that I didn't understand, just as we all know kids have the attention span of a gnat.
My folks would give us (I have 2 other sisters) blank paper to draw on and we could create just about anything. That's just because we were creative by nature.
That was a great start.
Now, as a parent myself, It was difficult to find Christian themed imagery for my children to engage with in church. Coloring is therapeutic and keeps the kiddos quiet (if but for a moment)
and associates fond memories of church instead of threats and scoldings if they "move a muscle."
